The Regional Cooperation Group (RCG) is composed of Berne Union (BU) members in the Asia-Pacific region and was established to promote the formation and strengthening of networks among its members. Currently, the RCG is made up of 12 member ECAs: ASEI, ECGC, EFA, Enterprise Singapore, HK ECIC, K-Sure, NEXI, NZEC, SINOSURE, SLECIC, TEBC, and THAI EXIM. The group holds two working-level RCG Meetings each year, alongside the BU Spring Meeting and the BU Annual General Meeting. In addition, the RCG organizes an annual RCG CEO Meeting, which brings together the heads of member ECAs. These meetings serve as valuable opportunities for members to exchange views, share best practices, and explore ways to strengthen regional cooperation.

The 78th RCG meeting was held on October 20th, in conjunction with the BU Annual General Meeting 2025 in Ottawa.

As the economic center of gravity shifts toward the Asia-Pacific, the role of RCG members in supporting trade and investment has become increasingly vital. Shared regional challenges underscore the importance of deeper collaboration and communication among RCG members. At the same time, RCG members recognize their responsibility to communicate regional perspectives to the wider industry community, which helps address global economic issues and broader challenges.

At the meeting, RCG members agreed to strengthen RCG operations, enhance coordination with the BU Secretariat to ensure stable and sustainable activities, and increase the visibility of RCG members through contributions to broader BU activities.

Going forward, the RCG, in cooperation with the BU Secretariat, will contribute to the development of international trade and investment by sharing the experiences of its members in the Asia-Pacific region with the broader BU community.
