Climate Working Group: Dubai COP28 Workshop recordings available online

Climate Working Group

BU Climate Working Group held a practical in-person workshop, coinciding with COP28 in Dubai on 6 December 2023. The workshop welcomed sustainability experts and policy makers from wide Berne Union membership as well as Climate Working Group affiliates.

The Berne Union plays an important role in guiding its members toward more sustainable finance. We aim to inspire each member to incorporate climate impact into their everyday decisions - and share how this inspiration turns into action.

During the workshop we discussed :

  • What were the COP28 outcomes for the export credit community
  • What are the most impactful climate and sustainability ideas to focus on as a public finance institution - and how to translate these to practical implementation
  • Operational approaches to climate finance and sustainable technologies - how to decarbonise our portfolios, create financial incentives, assess new technology
  • How to make the most of collaborating with wider trade finance community as well as with alliances such as E3F and Net Zero Export Credit Agencies Alliance (NZECA)

We are delighted to share recordings from the main panel discussions via this link
