The 2026 Spring Meeting will be hosted by KazakhExport in Astana from 11-14th May.
The theme for this year’s Spring Meeting is “Crossroads” , reflecting both place and purpose. Astana’s historic role as a meeting point of civilizations, trade routes, and ideas mirrors the Berne Union’s function today as a modern crossroads where trade, investment, capital, and policy dialogue converge. In a time of geopolitical fragmentation and supply-chain reconfiguration, “Crossroads” symbolizes connection rather than division, underscoring BU’s role as a neutral and strategic hub for dialogue, cooperation, and multilateral engagement. It also captures a moment of choice: global trade and investment stand at a crossroads, facing critical decisions on sustainability, resilience, innovation, and energy transition finance. The meeting aims to provide a platform for members to explore future pathways together and help shape shared directions for the global economy.
