Financing. Impact. Together.

Hosted by the Institute for Trade and Innovation (IfTI) at Offenburg University, with EKF, and in partnership with the Berne Union, this high-level symposium will bring together government officials and private sector representatives, as well as senior staff from innovation agencies, multilateral development banks, bilateral development finance institutions and export credit agencies to discuss prospects of innovation, export credit and development finance. 

The objective is to inform financiers and policy makers, improve knowledge and expertise, and create a marketplace for mobilising capital. The symposium will share approaches to better understand and address current challenges, present case studies, and offer opportunities to discuss practical and pragmatic ways to move forward. It is unique in its quest to bring together experts from the many corners of international finance.

                                                     Meeting Registrations                                                    

The booking price for the Symposium is €249 including full conference attendance, conference lunches, refreshements and the symposium dinner reception at Schloss Staufenberg.

Delegates should register directly through this website. Logged in Berne Union members can register right away, while non-BU members should use the invite code: IfTI2018

                                                           Hotel Bookings                                                          

The Institute have reserved rooms and negotiated preferential rates at a number of conveniently located hotels in the area. Bookings should be made directly with the hotels, by phone or email (please do not book online), quoting the "IfTI Global Symposium" as a reference to obtain the agreed rates.

Full details of the hotels, including rates, contact details and bookings deadlines to obtain prefferential rates are available via the Symposium Page at the Offenburg University website. Delegates are advised to book early to ensure availability and the best rates.

                                                        Transport Logistics                                                       

Offenburg and Offenburg University’s Campus Gengenbach can be reached quickly and easily, by plane, train or car. We will provide a bus shuttle service for the IfTI Global Symposium from/to hotel to conference venue and dinner location on Tuesday, as well as the conference on Wednesday.

By Plane

Frankfurt am Main (FRA): High-speed ICE trains connect Frankfurt Airport directly with Offenburg Central Station (90 minutes). Find out more here: www.bahn.com

Strasbourg Airport (SXB): Taxis and shuttle trains connect SXB Strasbourg Airport with Offenburg Central Station via Strasbourg Central Station (40 minutes). Find out more here: www.bahn.com

Further airports are Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB) (30 minutes by taxi) and Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL/EAP/MLH) (75 minutes by taxi).

By Train

Offenburg can be quickly reached directly by high-speed ICE trains of Deutsche Bahn as well high-speed TGV trains of SNCF via Strasbourg from many cities including Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Paris and Zurich.

At Offenburg Central Station, you can take a taxi to your hotel and/or the conference venue Offenburg University’s Campus Gengenbach, or change for the regional train to reach Campus Gengenbach (15 minutes).

By Car

The A5 motorway allows easy access to Offenburg from major European cities such as Frankfurt and Basel. The B33 dual carriageway brings you directly to Offenburg University’s Campus Gengenbach.
