Africa Investment Forum

ABOUT

The Africa Investment Forum (AIF) is an investment platform aimed at facilitating global investment into Africa by convening project sponsors, financiers, governments and other key stakeholders with the objective to close deals.

Led by the African Development Bank Group and six other founding partners - Afreximbank, Africa Finance Corporation, Africa50, The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, Development Bank of Southern Africa, and Trade & Development Bank-, the AIF operates as a multi-stakeholder, multi-disciplinary platform that streamlines the process of financing transformative projects across the continent.

PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES

Projects and initiatives

The Africa Investment Forum mobilises public and private capital into bankable, high-impact development projects across Africa, with a strong focus on accelerating projects to financial close and implementation.

Collaboration on ECA and Insurer Day at AIF Market Days

The BU has partnered with AfDB and other AIF stakeholders to promote engagement in their initiative to organise a side event focused on ECAs and insurers as part of the annual AIF market days.

With Africa as a strategic market for a number of BU members this is an important opportunity to strengthen understanding and collaboration which recognises the crucial role played by ECAs in financing infrastructure.
