In this video, sponsored by the BU Climate Working Group, Credendo – Export Credit Agency explains why sustainability lies at the heart of its strategy and how the company translates this to its clients, stakeholders and people.
- Sustainability is important for Credendo as it wants to generate a positive environmental and social impact, for which it has been taking actions for a long time already.
- Through its energy transition policy, Credendo supports the energy shift from fossil fuels to clean energy to become net zero by 2050 and to limit its support for international fossil fuel projects.
- Through the Credendo Green Package, the company supports exporters in environmentally and socially positive projects by offering them advantageous conditions and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Sustainable actions are not new to Credendo as it only covers transactions that are in line with international and local standards. It even goes beyond the OECD recommendations.
- Internally, the company has developed an ESG label and included its entire staff in the sustainability journey.
