ECAs Trajectory Towards Net Zero Webinar
The BU Climate Working Group (CWG) will be hosting a joint webinar with the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) to zoom in on net zero export credit and the creation of a Net Zero ECA Alliance. The webinar will outline the work of GFANZ; explain what net zero could mean for export credit; and set out the plans for the Net Zero ECA Alliance.
The BU CWG is a diverse group of experts creating links with global networks to encourage the development of innovative products, incentives, and financing opportunities; to promote alignment around low-carbon methodologies; and to foster greater collaboration across the financial sector.
The GFANZ is a global coalition of leading financial institutions committed to accelerating the decarbonization of the economy.
This webinar will outline the work of GFANZ; explain what net zero could mean for export credit; and set out the plans for the Net Zero ECA Alliance. It is intended for all ECAs and other interested parties who would like to learn more about the progress ECAs are making in their net zero efforts. We will hear from BU Members (UKEF, EDC, EKF, EKN among others) about the work they are doing to support net zero and the added value of the Net Zero ECA Alliance.
Speakers: representatives from the BU CWG, GFANZ Secretariat, and wider BU membership
Timing: 4 October 1-2 PM BST
Moderated by Leah Gilbert-Morris, Chair of BU CWG, EDC
