BU President outlines steps to accelerate climate progress in ExCred keynote address

29/06/2022
Press Release

BU president Michal Ron delivered the keynote address at today's ExCred International conference in London

The main takeaways from her presentation:

  • The balance and priority between different layer of risk is evolving and long-term drivers of change are the most powerful ones
  • Despite the highly visible disruption of geopolitics, war, oil prices and inflation, climate remains a top priority
  • There are positive signals of progress visible in BU industry data
  • But to accelerate this we need to:
  1. channel all available sources of capital from public and private institutions
  2. achieve a modernised policy framework and multilateral cooperation at OECD and beyond
  3. find ways to accommodate rapidly changing technology in our planning and approach to risk
